VIETNAMESE COFFEE

VIETNAMESE COFFEE

French Roast/Favorite Espresso brewed coffee
sweetened condensed milk
ice

Brew 1 cup of your favorite french roast coffee or espresso. Cafe du monde works well and can be found in most grocery stores and asian markets.
Add in 2-3 tablespoons (or to your desired sweetness) sweetened condensed milk
Stir until milk is mixed. Pour over ice.
*If serving cold it's best to pre-brew your coffee and place in refrigerator. This will keep the ice from melting and creating a weaker drink.

[Instant Version]
*which would make any coffee snob gasp... but me, I can totally live with it and is my preferred method if you don't have any pre-brewed coffee.

2 tbs instant coffee (Folgers has a richer chocolate flavor than most)
2-3 tbs sweetened condensed milk
ice
1 to 1 1/4 cup cold water

Mix instant coffee with cold water. Stir in condensed milk. If you have a drink shaker it's a lot easier than stirring.
Pour over ice.
