This was a favorite when I was little and my grandma showed me how to make it and it's still one of my favorites.
Original version:
1lb hamburger
1 medium onion, diced
2 cans whole tomatoes, diced
2 tsp garlic powder
salt & pepper to taste
Brown hamburger, then add diced onions and cook till translucent. Add garlic powder, salt, pepper and diced tomatoes. Simmer 10 minutes.
My version:
1lb hamburger or ground turkey or smoked sausage
1 medium onion diced
1 jar prego spaghetti sauce
3 cloves garlic crushed
2 tsp garlic powder
salt & pepper to taste
Brown hamburger, then add diced onion, crushed garlic, and cook till translucent. Add garlic powder, salt, pepper and spaghetti sauce. Simmer 10 minutes
